{"id":1357,"date":"2021-08-30T15:02:19","date_gmt":"2021-08-30T15:02:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/elite-minds.com\/blog\/?p=1357"},"modified":"2023-06-19T14:35:56","modified_gmt":"2023-06-19T14:35:56","slug":"1357-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/elite-minds.com\/blog\/1357-2\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>WHAT WILL BACK TO WORK LOOK LIKE FOR KNOWLEDGE WORKERS AND EMPLOYERS?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Despite the \u2018Delta variant\u2019, as vaccination rates rise and pandemic restrictions loosen, a <strong>\u2018new normal\u2019<\/strong> will arise back to work.\u00a0 There are still more questions than answers, but here are a few things to consider.\u00a0 For many, the work location pendulum swung from largely in the office (pre pandemic) to largely remote during the pandemic.\u00a0 I expect the pendulum to land somewhere in the middle and will vary between organizations.\u00a0 Companies have a lot to think about for their post pandemic workplace transformation, and will consider the <a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2021\/06\/5-models-for-the-post-pandemic-workplace?registration=success\">5 back to work models<\/a>. What model do you expect your organization to use?<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/one-prediction-of-returning-to-work-post-covid-unpredictable-and-potentially-chaotic-11620136016\">\u201cOne prediction of returning to work post-COVID: \u2018Unpredictable and potentially chaotic\u2019\u201d<\/a><\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/one-prediction-of-returning-to-work-post-covid-unpredictable-and-potentially-chaotic-11620136016\">&#8211; Meera Jagannathan<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>For Employees:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Employees may have concerns about coming back to the office. <a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2021\/07\/help-your-employees-who-are-anxious-about-returning-to-the-office\">This article<\/a> has some topics to consider.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/07\/19\/success\/mental-health-issues-at-work\/index.html\">Employee Wellness and Mental Health<\/a> &#8211; resources are required to support employees working from home to balance all aspects of their wellbeing, including addressing isolation from their teams\/peers; maintaining productivity; and achieving work-life balance.<\/li>\n<li>Are looking for <a href=\"https:\/\/globalnews.ca\/news\/7880530\/covid-workplace-return-remote-office-hybrid-kpmg\/\">work time and work location flexibility<\/a>. We have seen that at any time, a new wave of restrictions can come, causing havoc for child\/family care and other logistics around the home\/family.\u00a0 Some people have moved away from cities, planning to work mostly remotely going forward.<\/li>\n<li>Office layout: Will the current office layout address the <a href=\"https:\/\/ca.news.yahoo.com\/glassdoor-survey-89-of-workers-have-health-concerns-about-returning-to-the-office-130021161.html\">health concerns of workers<\/a>?\u00a0 Employees will want to know.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>What do you think the top employee topics are for the post pandemic workplace?<\/h2>\n<h3><strong>For Employers:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Are trying to balance safety\/health of employees through vaccination policies (including what level of enforcement) &amp; required days\/times in the office vs. <a href=\"https:\/\/angusreid.org\/work-from-home-return-to-work\/\">flexibility to keep employees<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pwc.com\/us\/en\/services\/governance-insights-center\/library\/covid-19-returning-workplace-boards.html\">What is the Board\u2019s role<\/a>?
